FerroSand™ iron oxide is a black sand. Magnetite sand contains iron oxides Fe2O3 и Fe3O4.
FerroSand™ is used as an additive to molding sands to prevent surface defects in metal casting in foundry.
Iron oxide as the additive makes it possible to improve the surface of parts and avoid the formation of notches, pinholes, hot cracks and gas defects. FerroSand™ is added to the sand-resin mixure for making cores and molds in foundry.
It can be used in steel, iron and non-ferrous casting.
